On Tuesday morning, the Caribbean spinner Akeal Hosein checked into his Dhaka hotel room at exactly 4:00 am. After receiving an urgent call from selectors to join the ODI squad, he had just completed a long journey.

The Dhaka pitch was tough to handle. Right from the first ball, the ball started to turn and not only that, it was also bouncing. Hosein said that his strategy was to make Sarkar compete towards the square boundary as it was the longest part of the ground. 

He wanted to give the ball maximum spin and keep it on the good length so that the batter couldn’t easily hit through the line. The Caribbean team even made history by becoming the first ever in ODI cricket to bowl all 50 overs with just spinners throughout the innings. ​
